After the great length of last week’s post (you didn’t read it? Oh, I think you should check it out!), I thought I’d shorten things up this week. On this beautiful first Tuesday of May, I would like to take a moment to throw out a couple of much-deserved shouts of gratitude. Though this post is shorter than last week’s, please rest assured that the shorter length is no reflection on the appreciation felt for these fine folks.

First off, I’d like to thank Mr. Wes Gutekunst of Gutekunst Design. Wes is an old college buddy from Oklahoma State University. When we weren’t playing intramural soccer, discussing our common love of Chuck Taylor’s, or attending OSU football and basketball games, Wes was mastering his craft of art and design. After several years heading up the marketing department at Kitty Hawk Kites in Outer Banks, NC, Wes recently moved back to his hometown of OKC to start up a graphic design, web design, and marketing company.

A crew from St. Paul

A crew from the St. Paul Catholic Center at UW-Madison joined us this past weekend at our annual Work Day.  Thanks gang!

We’re always looking for ways to improve things at Camp Gray, and in the past few months Wes has helped Camp Gray abundantly in tweaking our website, improving the look of our youtube channel, and moving our website to a new web provider. For anyone looking for any of the aforementioned services, may I suggest Wes? (Especially those fellow Camp Professional friends!) Wes Gutekunst, I salute you. Thank you for your help past, present, and future.

Additionally, on behalf of all of us here at Camp, I’d like to extend yet another enormous thanks to those that attended our annual Spring Work Day this past Saturday. It was a beautiful day with great weather and loads of service. It’s always a joy to work alongside the handful of families that come out to Camp on Work Day. Additionally, it was a great blessing to have in attendance a gaggle of 15 students from the St. Paul Catholic Center at UW-Madison. To all that joined us on Saturday, I salute you.

I’d also like to thank YOU – your support in something as simple as reading the rambling writings of Camp Gray staffers means a whole heap to us all.

Lastly, I invite you to come on back to the Camp Gray Blog next week. There’ll be a guest blogger next week – a guest blogger that’s had a unique vantage point witnessing every second of Camp’s 60 years. Intrigued? Good. See you next week!

Peace friends!
