Our community campaign entitled Strength for the Journey, Growing Our Legacy of Family and Faith is a $6 million project that will help fund a new dining hall, a new gym, resurfacing of our roads and a renovated athletic field. This expansion and renovation project will allow us to increase the number of campers served every summer to 1,500 (200 more kids than we are able to serve now!) and create more opportunities to expand capacity for more program offerings – and more life-changing experiences.

Our specific priorities include:

Dining Hall

Many repairs would be needed to simply keep the dining hall and kitchen open, though those efforts would do nothing to solve the needs for increased space. A new dining hall will create opportunities to expand capacity for more program offerings – and more life-changing experiences. It will also:

  • Handle increased volume of summer campers
  • Increase winter dining capacity from 60 to 320
  • Add a larger storm shelter for camper safety
  • Include a basement for games and arts in bad weather

Gymnasium

Built more than 50 years ago, various parts of the small and outdated current facility are in disrepair and heavier volumes of campers have placed stress on the building way beyond its original design. A new gym will:

  • Create a year-round space for recreation
  • Add space for team building
  • Include a confidence-building climbing wall

Athletic Field

Poor soil, heavy slope and deteriorating conditions have plagued the current athletic field for years. A revitalized athletic field will:

  • Vastly improve dedicated outdoor space for additional individual and team fitness activities
