Fr. Kevin Cassidy, Camp Gray Director 1963-1970, RIP.

Fr. Kevin Cassidy, Camp Gray Director 1963-1970 passed away on Tuesday. He was 80 years old.

Fr. Cassidy is fondly remembered at Camp Gray.

Camp’s Athletic Field has been named in his honor since 1966. A simple plaque that hangs on the backside of the Athletic Field backstop reads, “Dedicated to Father Kevin Cassidy – A Great Pitcher Who Never Lost A Game Here.”

The Cassidy Games – a staple at Camp Gray since the 11th year of the 3rd millennium – was given the name Cassidy to honor his passion for the fruits of healthy competition – teamwork, sportsmanship, and dedication.
